ConQuest NorthWest 2008

In February 2008, right after the release of Wizard's Gambit, we had a chance to attend ConQuest NW 2008, a local game convention for hobbyist games.

We setup a couple tables and invited players to join us in playing Wizard's Gambit! The game was a hit with everyone and several players stayed to play multiple rounds!

Overall we had a great time, made some new friends, and we got to share Wizard's Gambit with some more people!

Photos of the event:

Eric and Rob play a round of Wizard's Gambit with two new players, Kizzie and David. Kizzie has a pretty good hand of Magical Components and Incantations when her turn comes around!

"Oh yeah - this hand is hot!"
"Whoa - I never saw that coming..."

Matt and Rob have a well developed game of four player underway with David and Jodie. Two Spells on the table are anyone's claim. David check's out Rob's cards to see if he can play the right combo that will guarantee one of the Spells for himself!

Eric points out some of the finer strategy of the game.

Wizard's Gambit is easy to learn, but mastering the strategy is the only sure way to win!

"Yeah boy! I'm gonna claim this Spell right here!"
"Matt looks on as Nathan schools the designer!"

Nathan plays an Incantation card that is likely going to allow him to claim a Spell, while everyone else looks on.

Incantations are the key to  power strategy of Wizard's Gambit.
